RV Parks in Mountain Home AFB, Idaho Top 17 Campgrounds near Mountain Home AFB, ID Updated December 2022

Large, level concrete sites with grass. And, the best part, a big grassy dog park. The camp host cornered my 10 year old and 5 year old sons in the bathroom and screamed at them for being too loud after quiet hours. I heard the yelling and crying and came in to investigate.

Utilized the BX in the morning on our way out. Would stay here again if in the area. Dog park, salt water pool and areas to walk. All pads are concrete, nicely spaced and each has trees. This is the best RV park we have ever seen. Wide asphalt streets, long, wide concrete spaces and lots of grass and trees.

White River Campgrounds

We would recommend this campground to anyone staying in the area. We are return guests ~ several times; it’s one of the nicest rv parks on all of I-84 – but it’s not a campground believe they do not allow tents. Cooled by AC in summer months and heated during cooler months.

Our information, reviews and photos suggest that if you have an electric powered device this destination has electric service available. Special rules will likely apply so check with park regarding the pet rules. If you like camping with pets this campground or RV park is an option. This has become a dump, its no better than some of the trashy RV parks in towns across the US.

Pontiac Park Usace

At CampgroundViews.com we are the best campground directory and RV park directory available. In addition we also have thousands of photos and reviews... But what makes us so special are our videos. See what the parks actually look like. Warm showers that were really appreciated during negative temps. Older facilities and thin pads but overall okay.

And both the men's and women's bathrooms and showers. Mountain Home was our third stop on our 4 month motorhome excursion. We stopped in Mesquite, Salt Lake City then Mountain Home. We have traveled extensively in one motorhome after another over the past 30 years having touched every state staying in numerous RV Parks. Without a doubt this is one of the finest, best run, and with the most congenial personnel we have had the pleasure of staying. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for extended stay or just an overnight stop.

Sites

As usual these g7 parks are very nice. I wish other parks allowed that. After camping mostly on dirt or gravel, it’s nice to be on a huge, clean cement slab for a change. They do allow you to use a propane fire pit and they sell propane here. The cell service is 4 bars but Verizon throttles down the bandwidth so it’s still slow.

Season may vary and services may still be available in the off season by our research and info suggests this campground or RV park is seasonally operated. Grass - Grass campsites or grass surrounding the sites. The quality and density of the grass may vary by season and location but this campground or RV park does have grass.

No camp host available during low temps but the self pay center was very informative. No cable available, but you can explore so much here. Its a good little camp site to stay at for a little bit. We are in Mt Home getting warranty work done on our F-550 Super C. The RV wasn't available to us, so we didn't stay at the Mt Home FamCamp.

The sites are wonderfully set up, with concrete pads and thick grass. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed it.. It is very easy to access from highway. Walmart and places to eat close. Salt water pool was wonderful to relax in. They are expanding and would recommend the older sites, they have more mature trees, more shade and grass.

Some residents have definitely been here longer than the rules allow. Also, overflow in the middle has cords running from all over. Been to a number of military FamCamps but this one doesn't even rate a 1. Very disappointed because we had intended to stay here in Jul and do some sightseeing but not unless some drastic improvements occurs. We lived in military housing at 4-5 bases and this condition would not have been tolerated.

Laundry room clean and machines worked fine. This park is beautiful, a high end 5-Star facility. You can see the white beads everywhere, but most products should be watered in and then allowed to dry before use. There is nothing shabby about this property. They do have a lot of rules but they aren't enforced, such as, no kennels, no unattended dogs outside, no flexi leashes, etc.

Idaho RV Campgrounds Association

My pup loves to socialize but didn’t get that here. Otherwise, this was a pleasant stay. We arrived after dark and the only complaint I have is the entrance was hard to find as the sign is not lit up. Other than that it was a great experience. A staff member guided us to our pad and helped us get parked. There are pretty trees and quiet.

You can go there directly and register onsite via a dropbox. Nice commissary and BX within 5 minutes, as well as bowling and other amenities. Base was VERY quiet on weekends, borderline ghost town. Burger King and carwash adjacent, and the usual fast foods (including a Popeyes's) in the BX. Stayed here two nights without reservations on a trip to Boise and was a very nice campground. Private Showers/Bathrooms were excellent.

Fort Running Bear RV Park

Beautiful setting not too far from the interstate. Very friendly staff with escort service to site. Sites are large and spacious with lots of privacy. Concrete slabs that are very level.
