My family purchased a new construction home from Ryan Homes/NVR in December 2016. Since then, we have experience substantial construction nightmares from poorly installed cabinets to electrical and plumbing issues to the most recent issue loose and/or missing shingles from our roof. On August 15, 2002, I contacted my home warranty to request their assistance with water coming from the ceiling of one of my bedrooms during a storm. When my home was inspected by my insurance company, they identified various loose and missing shingles from the roof due to poor installation during the home construction. Another thing they are not flexible, should you wish for adjustments during construction! I requested additional electric outlets.

I finally got a hold of my sales reps Manager . He told me he's the guy in charge and will make things right. He also told me he would return my calls and would not make me wait. He also conveniently forgot about me and would not return my calls for sometimes 24 hours and at one point, a whole week went by with no return calls.
In my case, we discussed the date by which they should have completed building my house, October 20th. It is completely unsurprising that they could "figure out" a way to get you that great rate that you talked about. I certainly hope that Juanita read the contract for THAT mortgage. When the builder approved me, they told me they would re-sell the mortgage to Countrywide.

My lease was up at the end of May and the closing date for Ryland was set for May 25th. In light of that date, she gave me a two-month window period. In her contract she had a 3-month window period starting August ending October.
After 3 weeks of telling him about the process and promises, I was then put in contact with his boss . Larry stance was, it's not in the contract and there is nothing we can do about it. They are making us sell it ourselves but won't help with their required documentation or anything.

I was working with Ryland Mortgage and Ryland Title, because of how great the sales rep talked about them and the way the process would be handled. About 2 weeks into the process, getting a hold of people in Ryland Mortgage and Ryland title became a challenge. I am writing to provide a complaint of a poorly constructed home by Ryan Homes, NVR Inc. resulting in improper and negligent roofing installation causing loose and missing shingles.
During last few days March of 2007, I made an offer on a Ryland Home. The Ryland sales rep declined my offer stating that other people are looking at the home. A week later in April of 2007, the same sales rep called me back and told me that if I am still interested, then they will move forward with my offer.
